CFLs require extreme handling

My-India.Net: India Forum: India Science & Environment: India's Renewable Energy Sector and Green Energy Index Unaffected by Global Economic Slowdown: CFLs require extreme handling

By ashwini kumar on Monday, March 02, 2009 - 10:59 am: Edit Post

I read an article that stated the ill effects of incandescent light bulbs. So, I decided to replace them with CFLs only to discover that they do not work on a dimmer switch..Lately I was told that it contains toxic substances like mercury and if broken should be handled with care..I donít understand what to do..Someone recommended that I replace CFLs with LEDs ..Would that be a better option?
