hi guys,

I'm interested in Animation. can anyone pls tell me which is the best Animation college in india.

hey..i know that i want to do my animation but i'm confused if a diploma course from maac will be ok??..ive just given my 12th commerce exams..if a diploma is not advisable then which are the colleges in mumbai have a degree course for animation..which colleges have an enterance exams for the same and when are the exams..how can i get the forms..and where can i prepare myself for the enterance exam...please help me..i m confused!!!

my name is guru kiran, i live in hyderabad, have heard a lot about RACE Animation college,i also visited this institute n really i was impressed, i made up my mind to join there but confused whether to do a course in Mumbai or RACE Animation college.

Guru .. Race is a good college for animation but i bet you no other college like whistling wood's international can give you the best combination of animation course it is promoted by subash ghai and ... all the major legends of film industry are working as faculty . here is the link ..

I totally agree with you uttam WWI is one of the best in India .. is it true that Nasuruddin Shah is heading the Acting Department

can someone tell me how is IIFT compared to WWI , how is the course structure .. and the fees .. it would be very helpfull to make up my mind and freeze on one .. experienced people are welcome

This is SANTHOSH from Andhra, completed my 3rd year in BE in CSE. Still 1yr is there to persue my degree. After B.Tech, i have decided to do POST GRADUATION in animation as i am confident that i have qualities to become a good animator. i am seeking the following information....
1. How would be Animators position after 2012...?
2. What are TOP colleges in INDIA & abroad? 3. What are the exams to write for those colleges?
4. Whats the best score to get in those exams to target reputed colleges?
5. Many colleges provides various specifications in ANIMATION? Whats better for me?
6. what is VFX?
7. How is job opportunities in INDIA & ABROAD after 2012?
8. Friends, parents, relatives are suggesting to opt for M.Tech or MBA. But, i have passion towards animation. Is my decision to go for animation in right at this situations. are there plenty of job oppertunities for animators in INDIA?

For animation its the best in the country. If you want to study film WWI is quite good but its too expensive. cheaper to go the US and study.

i would like to contact amateur film makers/animators that require sound and music in their
animated films/advertisments/documentaries...i have been composing western classical and also electronic music (mostly trance)since almost 10 years...i have also worked with a tv channel called neo sports doing some of the sound stuff for them..
i am willing to work with animators/amateur film makers at a low cost (initially) .
i am sure there are requirements for this.

Hi! all this is ami as people call me, amit rawat, i wanted to do animation and multimedia as scope is very high in it, so i searched for the institute which is the best, i reached to the conclusion as Picasso Animation College and Studios, which offers many courses in animation and multimedia, as on full time and part time basis, it has best curriculum and pratical training as well for thier students, and internships process is also very good and last but not least it has campus placement programs as well which is no doubt good.

TATA DOCOMO, had announced a first of its kind Animation Contest, last week. The first two entries are already in!

The philosophy behind the contest seem to be respecting the power of ‘DO’, whereby Tata DOCOMO is felicitating the individual prowess exhibited by the animators, by the way of opening up the brand to them and asking them to play with it. The winning entry stands to win INR 1,00,000 and also gets a chance to be showcased on national television.

The Animation Contest, which started from 18th September 2009 and will stay on till 31st October 2009, is meant for the entire animator community from India (be it professional animators who are currently employed, or the students who are learning animation), whereby the core idea is to allow use the TATA DOCOMO brand logos and the brand signature tune, to create a 05-60 second 2D animation clip.

The two entries represent the ‘cheeky tone’ of the Brand whereby the story for one is around the good’ol ‘pass the ball’ game and the other is around ‘O’ of the logo being the savior’.
