Oman's Deputy PM meets Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Oman's Deputy Prime Minister, Sayyid Fahad Bin Mahmood Al Said, met the External Affairs Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, here today.
Said is on a four-day visit to the India to boost bilateral and economic relations between both countries.
He is also scheduled to meet President Pratibha Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The two delegations are expected to sign several bilateral agreements, including a mutual legal assistance treaty in civil and criminal matters, an agreement to promote educational exchange programmes, besides pacts on cooperation in the fields of labour, employment and manpower, mutual exemption of visa on diplomatic, special and official passports.
The two sides are also mulling over an investment fund to realise the full economic potential of their relations.
India-Oman bilateral trade was worth about one billion USD in 2006. Nearly 100 Indian companies have a presence in Oman and over 25 Omani companies are doing business in India. (ANI) --MP
