Delhi on alert amid terror warning

Following intelligence warning of possible terror strikes in Delhi, security has been tightened at the national capital on Monday. Though the intelligence input was of general nature, police has stepped up security in the city as a precautionary measure. Important locations and installations in Delhi has been put on high alert after inputs of warnings of terror strikes planned by some militant outfits. Police are monitoring movements of major public areas including shopping malls, markets and other crowded places like railway stations, airports, Delhi Metro and bus stands. Police is also keeping vigil of entry and exit points of the city connecting with other neighbouring states following the terror threat. --MP
