The Left parties has come again threatning the Congress-led UPA government that it would have to suffer serious consequences if the government goes ahead with the nuclear deal.
"The government will have to suffer if they breach the commitment" of not going ahead with the Indo-US nuclear deal, said senior CPI(M) leader M K Pandhe on the sidelines of the two-day party Politburo meeting which started in New Delhi.
Earlier today President Prathiba Patil while addressing the Budget session of Parliament had expressed hope that the deal get implemented by the UPA govt ''It is our hope that civil nuclear cooperation with the USA and other friendly countries will become possible,''said Patil.
However CPI National Secretary D Raja indiacated that the President's remarks was not that of the Parliament on the issue
