Annemarie-Maddison Prize for Kiran Bedi

One of India's most admired woman and first and highest ranking woman IPS officer, Kiran Bedi has been awarded the Annemarie-Madison prize.
The award was given to Bedi for initiating prison reforms at Delhi's Tihar jail. Bedi has served as the Inspector General Prisons of Tihar Jail, from 1993 to 1995 and her prison reforms policies lead to her winning, Ramon Magsaysay Award earlier in 1994. Annemarie-Madison award constituted by an international health organisation, KIS Board of Trustees and Curatorship for Immunodeficiency, has been conferred on her ata function on Munich on Friday. --MP
