Attacking on the Congress led UPA government, UNPA on Saturday said that he governments debt waiver announced in the Union budget was 'hogwash' and ust a 'book adjustment'.

 

While the political parties within UPA trying to take credits on the loan waiver, UNPA feels thath the debt waiver package will provide no reprieve to farmers. 

 

'There is no fresh budgetary allocation for farmers. It is just book adjustment. And to add to it, there are so many ifs and buts and categorization of farmers,' said  SP general sec, Amar Singh.  However he did not disclose what stategy the party would adopt on the matter in Parliament. "The strategy of the UNPA will be decided after a meeting of all its leaders," he added.
