India top remittance recipient nation

India has topped as the highest remittance recieving country, says a report released by the World bank.
The recent trends shows that remittances which is money sent home by immigrant workers abroad has grown up significantly in India in the recent past years. In 2003 India recieved remittances at US $17.4.
While in 2007, India' migrants across the world sending remittances back home amounted to $27 billion. India topped the list followed by China, Mexico, Philippines and France.
