Indian cricket board, BCCI chief has announced a cash award of Rs 10 crore for the Indian team who made a historic win in the ODI tri series beating Australia by straight 2-0 in the the best-of-three finals today. "Sharad Pawar has announced a cash award of Rs 10 crore. It will also be given a public reception in Delhi at the DDCA on March 6 on its return," said BCCI CAO Ratnakar Shetty from Brisbane.
India who batted first in the second finals at Brisbane made 259 runs. Chasing a target of 260 runs to win, Australians were reduced to 32-3 at one stage. With two balls to spare Australians were finally bundled for 249.
India's Praveen Kumar who took 4 wickets were adjudged the man of the match.
