India set for 70 space missions in 5 years

Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) chief has said that India would undertake 70 space missions in five years time.
The proposed manned missions are aimed to address requirements and develop new technologies to meet future demands. "We have proposed something like 70 missions totally in the 11th plan compared to about 26 missions in the tenth plan period," said ISRO chief G Madhavan Nair. "Future developments will be towards the manned space mission and reusable satellites and Ka-band satellites," he said. --MP
