Amid tension,J&K go for polls

Amid tension and chilling weather, Jammu & Kshmir has gone into polling which has begun on Monday. The election held in 7 stages for the 87-member state assembly were threatened with separist leaders calling for boycotts from elections.

However amid tight secuity arrangements the first phase of election has begun on morning that spreads across 5 districts in J&K covering 10 assembly constituencies.

Voting for the next staged are scheduled for November 23,30th, December 7,13, 17,and 24th.
