Final phase polling ends in Chhattisgarh

The second and final phase of polling ended in Chattisgarh on Thursday as 51 Assembly constituencies went on for polls in across 8 districts.
Over 60 percent turnout was reported during the second phase of voting. Bilaspur witnessed 62 per centvoting, while Sarguja 60 per cent, Koria 55 per cent, and Janjgir and Chapa reported 56 per cent. Former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, his wife Renu Jogi, BJP's Vishnu Deo Sa, Congress's Dhanendra Sahu, Deputy Speaker Badridhar Diwan and Home Minister Ram Vichar Netam are some of the popular leaders who contested in today's voting. Counting of votes will be on December 8th. --MP
