India congrats Obama

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh congragulated US Presidential elect Barack Obama on his victory to become the 44th President of the United States. 47 year old Obama is also the first African American to win the post.

"We have strong ties between our people and I look forward to working with you to realise the enormous potential for cooperation that exists between India and the US," Singh expressed in his letter to the newly elected President.

 Obama's historic victory is also lauded by other leaders and political parties in India who look forward for good relations between the two countries.
