INS Tabar attack pirates

In a brave effort to combat anti piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden, Indian navy warship INS Tabar attacked the pirates off the coast of Somalia, sinking one of their pirate boats.
The INS Tabar which has been sailing in the Gulf of Aden since Novemeber came across a private vessel which started to threaten the warship and opened fire when asked to stop for investigation. The naval ship retaliated with fire and sank the pirate 'mother ship' and chased two attack boats. In the recent past pirates has hijacked several chemical tankers which is casuing serious trouble to Indian and foreign cargo ships taking the route. --MP
