ISRO on a high
Saturday 15 November 2008
With the successful landing of the Indian tricolour on the Moon's surface, India's space research institute, ISRO is riding on a high.
ISRO which undertook the country's maiden moon mission project, Chandrayaan-1 has made a rare achievement with the Moon Impact Probe(MIP) touching the moon on Friday night. This is also a significant historic event for India as it is the fourth country in the world to make its presence felt on the Moon. 'ISRO's name has been high all the time. This is another significant event. I am sure in the global community, we will have much more respect than what was there in the past', said ISRO chief. --MP
