Prime Minister Manmohan Singh remained hopeful that the Indian economy would be able to grow by 6.3 per cent this financial year inspite of the financial crisis and the drought situation faced by the country. "In 2009, despite a drought, which will affect agricultural production, we expect to grow by around 6.3 per cent in 2009-10 and then recover to 7 to 7.5 per cent growth next year," assured Mr Singh talking at the Plenary Session of G-20 meeting at Pittsburg. He als apppealed the world nations to continue with the financial stimulus package introduced to revive the world economy.
