Ending speculations on the race for chief ministerial posts in Maharastra and Haryana, Congress leadership has maintained that Ashok chavan and Bhupinder Singh Hooda would lead as the Chief ministers of the respective states. Though there were doubts on Hooda's retention as CM following the polls which led to a hung Assembly in Haryana, it was the party High command's decision to opt Hooda for a second consecutive term to lead the party's legislature in Haryana. Meanwhile in Arunachal, Khandu Dorjee who steered Congress to a superb win was sworn in as the CM for the second consecutive term.
