The rift between the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) took an ugly turn with the IOA chief and Common wealth Games organising panel chairman Suresh Kalmadi publicly calling for the removal of CGFs CEO Mike Hooper and called for an independent technical review panel for the purpose. Rejecting Kalmadi's demand, CGF president Fennel has said that the personal attack on Kooper was unwarrented. The latest crisis seems to have a bad impact on the progress of New Delhi's preparations for the next year's event which has already been questioned.
