In view with the demand for the festive season, the gold prices has hit new heights crossing the Rs 16000 mark for the first time peaking to Rs 16,035 for 10 grams of standard gold. The rise in prices for the yellow metal at the international market has also contributed to the price rise. Buyers are also in a mad rush expecting that the prices could go further. With traditional jwellery buying also picking up, howeever the spurt in prices have not affected the sales in the retail market either.
