Gold touches new high
Sunday 8 November 2009
Prices of the yellow metal are surging at a record high touching Rs 16,900 per 10 gms in the bullion market on Saturday. The hike in prices are attributed to the investors demand in the international market coupled with the customer buying for traditional marriage season demands. Gold still continues to be the most sought after metal and the RBI has recently purchased 200 tonnes of the gold from the IMF which is said to have excited the other markets as well. -- MP
