Saturday, December 6, 2008

Dhoomimal's City Gallery has organised 'Stills & Slices', an exhibition of paintings by Indore based artist B.R. Bodade. The exhibition will continue till 30th November at Gallery premises at Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi. Stills and slices captures fleeting moments of Bodade's work in the wheel of time and the paintings have a blend of figurative themes which showcase social themes. While his paintings speak and highlight the common man's agonies Bodade puts vivid details as slices of life that are a surface reality. The artists work speaks in tons on the traditions of culture, artistic brilliance, and religious syncretism with which the rural regions are traditionally connected. B.R. Bodade is one of the renowned names in artist community, who is doing wonderfully well since past two decades. Through his artistic brilliance he has many awards to his credit and his paintings are exhibited in galleries around India. A special preview and inauguration ceremony was organised recently by Dhoomimal's City Gallery, where Pallav Jain (Director, Dhoomimal's City Gallery), Niren Sen Gupta, Jagdish Dey, Nishant Gupta, Veena Kohli, Aanchal Gupta, Shweta Sitacharan, Anjali Jain, Vandana Prakash, Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Vijaya Gupta, M.P.
