Guidelines for Joining My-India Ring
- All India related pages are eligible to join the ring.
- All prospective member pages should paste a fragment of html code
[My-India Navigation Palette] in the registered page.
- My-India Navigation Palette is the controlling tool for the visitors to surf your pages.
- If you are not able to paste the My-India Navigation Palette
in your page within 15minutes of site submission, please do not submit your site.
- The required My-India Navigation Palette
customized for your page will be provided to you at the time of site submission.
- If code is not added, your site submission will be removed after 15 minutes.
- The My-India Navigation Palette
should be placed at the best page in your site. The best page is usually the page with links to all your sub-page, your guest-book e-mail, etc. This page should have an identity of its own. The My-India ring will send its esteemed visitors to the page you have pasted the
My-India Navigation Palette.
- The My-India Navigation Palette
should not be pasted in an entry page, except in the case of frame sites. Entry page is a page that shows a link called "Enter" or a graphic "Click Here" or simply a door page to the actual site. However, in the case of frame based sites, we ask you to place the
My-India Navigation Palette
in an entry page. (The reason is that our code checker utility look for the code at the registered page and not in any redirected pages.) If you do not have an entry page, please make one. A link called HOME pointing to the entry page should be present in all the framed page.
- My-India Navigation Palette
should not be pasted in a page kept specially for webrings with other ring codes cluttered into one page. We do not allow such practice as we believe that such a placement will only absorb traffic from My-India Ring and does not really contribute traffic to the
My-IndiaRing.
- My-India Navigation Palette
should be placed at the bottom of your page (after all the advertisement banners and other codes.)
- Empty or "difficult to read" pages loaded with large size graphics and heavy file size are not admitted,
We use a program to check for the presence of the code in member pages. If the code is absent in your page" your page may be purged automatically.
- FRAME PAGES: You should register your frame set and the code should be visible without any click of a link by the user once he arrive at your site.
- My-India Navigation Palette
is page specific. The code for one page can not be used for another page as the ID is different for each page. Get the code for each page separately, by registering each page. If you have multiple sites useful for others, you are encouraged to submit all of them. However, you have to register each site at the homepage and get the
My-India Navigation Palette for each page. But again, each of the registered page should have individual content of its own.
- We encourage you to submit your different pages about different subjects. But remember, do not submit not more than 2 more mirror sites if the original site is already a ring member. (Mirror sites are such pages where the exact copy of the site is placed on another server)
- You should not register same page more than once and should not insert two
My-India Navigation Palette
with two different ID in the same page as it may create a loop.
- Sites with improper/unpleasant themes may be rejected.
- Your page will not be accepted in certain cases based on the absolute discretion of the webmaster and the site may be rejected without giving any reason.
On any decision regarding the My-India Ring, the decision made by the webmaster will be final and binding. The above guidelines may change without notice.
